I am delighted to present the Annual Report of Kandhamal Zilla Sabuja Vaidya Sangathan (KZSVS) for the year 2022-23, highlighting our commitment to sustainable development and water for sustainable agriculture and livelihood.
Since our establishment in 2004, KZSVS has tirelessly pursued a people-centric model of development, focusing on medicinal plant conservation, herbal medicine, and empowering traditional healers in Kandhamal. Our endeavors encompass sustainable livelihood, water for agriculture, health and hygiene promotion, basic education, and women’s empowerment.
We acknowledge the invaluable support from various stakeholders, including government departments, funding agencies, and local communities. This year brought challenges, but the unwavering support from ATMA Kandhamal, government agencies, donors, and overseas partners, including Goonj, JivDaya Foundation, DASRA, Vitamin Angels, Selco Foundation and Smile Foundation, has been crucial.
KZSVS believes in a participatory approach, engaging beneficiaries as integral contributors to our initiatives. Our gratitude extends to our dedicated staff, district officials, and everyone associated with us in advancing social development. Our commitment extends to sustainable development, water for agriculture, remedial education with nutrition, health and hygiene, rural infrastructure, integrated farming, millet promotion, livestock and fishery, and WASH. We sincerely thank all those who have been part of the KZSVS mission. Your support propels our efforts, and we anticipate continued collaboration in the years ahead.
